The Pantheon, the Minerva and Piazza Colonna
In just a few blocks, Rome shows off its favourite trick: never throwing anything away.
From the Villa Medici to the Trevi Fountain, by way of the Spanish Steps: a cannonball that isn't one, a "Spanish" staircase paid for by a Frenchman, the room where Keats died, Bernini versus Borromini in the same street, and a fountain paid for by a lottery.

You start at the top, outside the Villa Medici, with a cannonball that legend pins on a queen and a column that calls an embassy a prison. You head down the steps paid for by a Frenchman's legacy after a long legal battle, look up at the house where Keats spent his last days, and at a fountain that seems to be sinking. Two streets away, Borromini knocks down Bernini's work inside the same building. Then you follow the water: aqueduct arches named after a girl and, at the end, the Trevi Fountain, paid for with lottery tickets and finished by someone else, and the truth about the coin.

Rome calls for a water bottle, reliable shoes and room for a detour. Its squares link up on foot; the hills and sunshine decide how many you will enjoy in a day.

In just a few blocks, Rome shows off its favourite trick: never throwing anything away.

For centuries, almost everyone arriving in Rome from the north came in through this gate.

You start in front of the giants of the Quirinale and the palace from which a French general took a pope away at night, and in whose courtyard Italy's last king said goodbye, after a reign of little more than a month.

Yes. Your own access is included and you can choose 0–5 guests: up to 6 people including you. Each guest saves up to €0.50 on a walk, €1 on a pack or €2 on a whole city compared with buying separately. The counter shows the total before you confirm one payment.
After paying, share your purchase’s invitation link. Each guest opens it in Podtour and accepts their place on their own iPhone or Android phone. They must redeem it within 30 days of purchase. Unclaimed places then expire and cannot be recovered or renewed. Access accepted in time is kept. Opening the link does not use a place; one account takes just one place, and no more people can join once all places are taken.
